Travelling to nursery
Deerness Valley Nursery is set in the beautiful valley between Ushaw Moor and New Brancepeth. While we are easily accessed by car and have a small car park for dropping off and collecting your child we encourage all families and staff to walk to nursery where ever possible.
We do this because walking, cycling or scooting to and from nursery:
keep us fit and healthy
help our children develop road safety skills which will keep them safe as they travel further afield and more independently
help keep our local air clean, and our streets free from congestion
are life skills that everyone should be able to benefit from
We are conveniently placed between two bus stops,
Plantation View, New Brancepeth which is 0.2 miles or 4 minutes walk south.
Station Hotel, Ushaw Moor which is 0.2 miles or 3 minutes walk north.
Bus services servicing these stops include:
Number 48, approximately every 20 minutes from New Brancepeth to Durham.
Number 47, approximately every hour from Ushaw Moor to New Brancepeth.
Number 945, at approximately 115pm on Fridays, and 440pm on other days from Spennymoor to Ushaw Moor.
